A Difficult AnnouncementWe have decided that we will not continue meeting for worship on Sunday afternoons. Many things have pushed us to this decision, including time pressures felt by several of our leaders (three of the leaders live more than 60 miles from Columbus). Though our numbers always remained quite small, a steady stream of visitors has walked through our doors. We thank God for the times we have spent together. We are confident, too, that the basic idea of a theologically conservative gay church in Columbus is a sound one. A large number of visitors to our booth at the last two Pride Day parades said they were thankful to know that God still loves them. We do believe that God is still working to draw his gay and lesbian children to Himself, and we feel honored to have had a part in that process for the last few years. For the FutureJarrett will continue hosting the monthly Bible study group at his house. It usually meets at 8 p.m. on the last Saturday of the month (though his work schedule may sometimes require a change). If you are interested in attending, follow the link below or e-mail him at VJADEE13@aol.com. This website has been a ministry in itself, averaging 21 different visitors a day over the last couple of years. This year we have had visitors from Germany, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Sweden, Switzerland, South Africa, Netherlands, Australia, Poland, Spain, Russian Federation, Israel, Italy, South Korea, Japan, Uruguay, and Czech Republic. We'll be leaving a couple of our subpages in place because they seem to have helped people from many distant places. |
